Medical-device digital twin
A Gazebo digital twin of a medical device, used to test the system and validate collision-free trajectories before running them on the real hardware.
Context
A medical-device company needed to validate its system's behaviour in simulation before working on the physical hardware. A Gazebo digital twin of the system was built, giving the team a model to work against in place of the real device. The work is covered by NDA and described here in anonymized terms.
What was delivered
The digital twin enabled the team to run systematic tests and generate collision-free trajectories, validated in simulation before being applied on the real device.
- Gazebo digital twin of the medical device.
- Systematic tests run in simulation before deployment.
- Collision-free trajectories validated on the model before application on the real hardware.
Tech stack
Gazebo simulation — physics modelling of the device and collision-free trajectory planning.
